What is good and what is bad? What is happiness? Are people truly happy? What is our meaning as humans? How does the universe work?
Faust 2.1 aims to present the dilemma of Faust, a man of many quests for whom worldly pleasures are not enough. Over the centuries, the legend of the scientist who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for the elixir of youth has been reinterpreted many times in literature and theater, but less often in dance. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's Faust faces an enduring and knotty choice: earthly happiness at the price of his soul.Man chooses daily between good and evil, to think of others or only of himself, to be passive or to act, in a constant search for balance.
A contemporary dance performance with influences of physical theater, Faust 2.1 presents one of the people dissatisfied with their condition, who in the search for absolute knowledge, forgot to live their life.
