The incomparable Horațiu Mălăele returns with a new display of ingenuity in "Sunt un orb", on Saturday, June 17, starting at 19:00, at Cinema Florin Piersic.
Described by Ion Caramitru as possibly the best product of Romanian theater in the past 20 years, Mălăele captivates the audience with the novelty he brings to the stage in each performance. Full of humor and grace, the artist presents the meanings of poets who are so different in style and thinking, in his own unique style, to the audience.
The show "Sunt un orb" stands out with its comedic aspect of presenting high-quality poetry and short stories. "There are several elements that make up this show, which is about me, but it's also about you," says Horațiu Mălăele. Additionally, the moments of improvisation are not to be missed, as Mălăele warns the spectators of the "danger of bursting into laughter."
Born on August 1, 1952, Horațiu Mălăele is a Romanian theater, film, and television actor who has portrayed numerous roles on stage, including Paznicul in "Escrocii în aer liber" (The Guards - The Open-Air Swindlers, directed by Horațiu Mălăele), Agamemnon Dandanache in "O scrisoare pierdută" (A Lost Letter, directed by Horațiu Mălăele), Francois in "Dineu cu proşti" (Dinner with Fools, directed by Ion Caramitru), Vanea in "Unchiul Vanea" (Uncle Vanya, directed by Yuri Kordonski), Carlo Goldoni in "Carlo contra Carlo" (Carlo against Carlo, directed by Horațiu Mălăele), Profesorul in "Lecția" (The Lesson, directed by Horațiu Mălăele), Fadinard in "Pălăria florentină" (The Florentine Hat, directed by Ovidiu Schumacher). On screen, he has portrayed characters such as Vișan in "Scara" (The Staircase, directed by Vlad Păunescu), Ilie Moromete in "Moromeții 2" (The Moromete Family 2, directed by Stere Gulea), Mircea in "Ai noștri" (Ours, directed by George Dogaru), Bebe in "Șoapte de amor" (Whispers of Love, directed by Mircea Daneliuc), and Emilian in "O săptămână nebună" (A Crazy Week, directed by Dragoș Buliga).
